Life Saving Commendation and Board of Directors Swearing In Highlight Board Meeting

Mather, CA. – Prior to and at the regular meeting of the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District’s Board of Director’s meeting on Thursday, December 13, 2018 two events highlight the agenda.

Fire Chief Todd Harms will present an award to three civilians who saved the life of another citizen, by providing CPR at a fitness facility. Two of the three civilians will be at the meeting to not only receive recognition for their actions but to also meet the person they saved, who is the father of a Metro Fire Firefighter. This presentation will occur during the meeting at 6:00 pm.

At 5:00 pm, prior to the meeting, four board members will be sworn in for their terms as Board Members for Metro Fire. Cynthia Saylors won election as the Director for Division 1 representing North Highlands, Rio Linda, Elverta, and Antelope. Incumbent Directors Randy Orzalli (Division 3), Matt Kelly (Division 7), and Jim Barnes (Division 9) will also be sworn in to their next terms.
