Metro Fire Quickly Contains Tremwell Court House Fire

Citrus Heights, CA- At 12:15 PM today, a call was received at Fire Dispatch reporting light smoke coming from a two-story home in the 5800 block of Tremwell Court in Citrus Heights. Metro Fire units were immediately dispatched and arrived on the scene within minutes.

Fire crews reported smoke from the attic vents and began a primary search of the home to ensure there were no trapped occupants. Additional crews began a coordinated fire attack, including ventilation operations and the process of preserving personal property from the home. The home was not occupied at the time the fire was reported.

Quick action by the arriving Metro firefighters resulted in containing the fire and limiting damage to the home, saving over $300,000 in property and contents. There were no injuries to citizens, pets, or firefighters.
