Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Public Safety Programs

Sacramento County, CA. – The Sacramento Metro Public Safety Foundation is hosting its inaugural Golf Tournament at 11:30 am, Friday, August 29th at the beautiful Rancho Murieta Country Club.

The Sacramento Metro Public Safety Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, comprised of fire and law enforcement agencies throughout the region. The Foundation’s mission is to support youth, family and community development projects by raising funds through grant funding, individual donations, payroll deductions, and special events such as this.

Proceeds from this year’s Swing for Public Safety will directly benefit our communities.

  • Lucas Device Purchase:  The purchase and placement of life-saving tools that can double the likelihood of getting a patient’s pulses back while under CPR. Lucas Devices provide constant and consistent chest compressions and will be placed on ambulances throughout the region.
  • Fire Camp for Kids:  Fire Camp provides local 11-13 year olds a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience today’s fire service.  The one week program takes place each July and is designed to instill self-confidence, teamwork and a basic understanding of the firefighting profession, in a fun and exciting atmosphere. Funds raised will be used to provide camp scholarships to children in need.
