Rancho Cordova Fire Contained to Garage, Living Quarters Saved

Sacramento County, CA – Just after 3:30pm, Metro Fire crews arrived to a home on the 10600 block of Coloma Road in Rancho Cordova for a report of heavy smoke from a garage. The first arriving engine reported a fully-involved garage fire and immediately initiated fire attack. Fire crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire, containing it to the garage while protecting the living quarters.

This aggressive fire attack spared the living quarters from fire damage, at the same time, protecting the family dog in the back yard. Total damage is estimated at $25,000, with the value saved roughly $180,000. No injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
