Arrest Made for Folsom Boulevard Car Wash Fire

Sacramento County, CA –   Members of the Arson/Bomb Investigation Unit (Arson Task Force) from Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District and Sacramento County Sheriff Department have arrested and charged a man with arson for the March 22nd car wash fire at 9199 Folsom Boulevard.

Early in the morning on March 22, 2016, Metro Fire responded to the Shell Gas Station for a report of heavy fire in the car wash. Crews arrived to find the car wash fully-involved with fire and quickly extinguished it, keeping the fire from spreading to the gas station.

A fire investigator was requested to the scene and determined the fire was caused by arson. After reviewing surveillance video, a suspect was identified, and arrested late last night. Ole Berg, 47, of Sacramento, California is now in custody, being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail on a charge of felony arson to a commercial structure. His bail is currently set for $50,000.
